This SMS & Text Messaging Policy explains how Mike Cote Tech LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses text messaging (SMS) to communicate with customers, how you can opt in and opt out of receiving text messages, and how we protect your information. By opting in to receive text messages from Mike Cote Tech LLC, you agree to this policy and our Privacy Policy. Terms & Conditions apply to all services.

Types of Messages We Send

Mike Cote Tech LLC sends service-related (transactional) text messages only:

Appointment confirmations and reminders
Service updates (for example, arrival or scheduling changes)
Follow-ups related to a recent or upcoming service
Responses to your inquiries
Care Plan and billing notifications related to your account

We do not send marketing or promotional text messages — no offers, promotions, or advertising. If our messaging practices ever change, this policy will be updated and new consent will be requested before any marketing message is sent.

How to Opt In

You may opt in to receive text messages from Mike Cote Tech LLC in the following ways:

By checking the SMS opt-in box on our contact form or pre-visit intake form — the disclosure shown next to the box is reproduced in this policy
By texting START to (978) 763-6164
By verbally consenting during a service call and confirming via text

By opting in, you consent to receive text messages from Mike Cote Tech LLC at the mobile number you provide. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any service. You may opt out at any time.

How to Opt Out

You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time:

Reply STOP to any text message you receive from us
Call us at (978) 763-6164 and ask to be removed from our SMS list
Email help@mikecotetech.com with your phone number and opt-out request

After opting out, you will receive one final text confirming your opt-out and no further messages unless you opt back in. To opt back in, text START to (978) 763-6164.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies. Messages are sent as needed for your appointments and service activity — typically a handful of messages per service interaction. We do not send bulk unsolicited messages.

Message and Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply to text messages you receive from us, depending on your mobile carrier plan. Mike Cote Tech LLC does not charge for text messages. Contact your mobile carrier for information about your messaging plan.

Information We Collect Through SMS

When you opt in, we collect your mobile phone number, your opt-in consent record (date, time, and method of consent), and message interaction data such as delivery confirmations. This information is used solely to operate our SMS program and is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. To deliver messages, your mobile number is shared with our SMS service provider (currently VOIP.ms; we are transitioning to Voxtelesys) solely for the purpose of delivering messages. We do not sell or share your mobile phone number or SMS consent data with any other third parties.

Supported Carriers

Our SMS program supports all major US carriers, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Boost Mobile, Cricket Wireless, Metro by T-Mobile, and US Cellular, among others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Compliance

Mike Cote Tech LLC complies with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and CTIA guidelines. Our messaging is registered with The Campaign Registry (TCR) for A2P 10DLC. We only text customers who have opted in, honor opt-out requests promptly, and keep records of all opt-in consents.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this SMS Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued participation in our SMS program after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
